The Course Family and Northfield House, Malton Lane
Members of the Course family have lived in Meldreth since at least the early eighteenth century.
Northfield House is on the west side of Malton Lane, not far from the junction with North End. It was built in the mid nineteenth century by a member of the Course family. The house has changed very little since it was built; the only addition being a downstairs bathroom.
Below is a selection of photographs from the early twentieth century, showing Northfield House and members of the Course family.
