Goddard and Dellar, based in Royston, were one of the companies delivering the finished products from the Atlas Stone Company factory in Meldreth.

S G Port lorry filling up at Goddard and Dellar's North Road Garage on Old North Road, Royston. S G Port and Son Ltd traded from the site later occupied by C Holland and Sons on Whitecroft Road, Meldreth. Hollands was demolished in 2011 and replaced by Mary's Way, Meldreth.

  • The garage premises were not on Baldock Road, Royston but on Old North Road – just where it joins with Kneesworth Street. Indeed it was known as North Road Garage.
