My grandfather, Mr Bernard Osborne, is in one of the photos and I am proud to say I am the owner of his 25 year gold watch. I used to meet him from work in Melbourn from a blue and yellow Atlas bus. I was no older than five or six at the time.

Ref. the Long Service Award photograph March 28th 1958. Ted Day is the third from left on the second row. He was the driver of the well known Puffing Billy. When my mother was in hospital, my sister and I stayed with Mr. & Mrs. Day for two months. I remember our breakfast every morning was cereal with milk that had been boiled the night before and we all squabbled to get some of the cream that had congealed around the edge of the saucepan. Also I was fascinated by Mr. Day's bushy eyebrows!!
